Game description and comments:

This ones kind of hard to describe, since alot of you have never played "Uncharted Waters" or "Uncharted Waters: New Horizons" on the SNES and Genesis, but this game is alot like a 3D version of those games, but with the name of a movie and a ride at Disneyland. Its not a bad thing mind you, fact is they did a real great job on this game, fights on land can be kind of iffy sometimes though since the crew that follows you around can be pretty useless and get themselves killed during a land <or at sea during a boarding mission> then you spent all that time and money for nothing since when people die they vanish about 4 seconds later and you can't loot their bodies for anything! That really sucks since that would be very helpful if you could. Anyways, the sea battles look awesome and the pixel shaded water is really a sight to see. I love the torn sails effect and the smoke rising out of every cannon when they're fired is really sweet. A map of sorts would be helpful when you're wandering around on land, or in a dungeon, but after awhile you learn to live without it. The items, ships, islands, dungeons, and houses are quite varied and can be quite distracting the first time you see some of them. The story is pretty open so you can do what you want when you want, but the good items don't show up till you get a good rank, and the game is pretty stingy with the money so getting that battleship will take awhile. Overall if you like the idea of being a swashbuckling pirate captain then this game is perfect for you, but watch out since you'll need a good graphics card in order to see some of the stuff. (it's ESRB rated Teen)
